oil pump, 4-valve
The 4-valve oil pump was stadardized in 1980. We recommend it for all pre-1980 engines. Its additional valves provide a plus in safety against the 2-valve pump.
This pump pumps as much oil as the conventional "Morgo" oil pump- don't believe wild claims made by backyard mechanics. Famous German tuner Joerg Winkelmann oputs the 4-valve pump into all his engines.
Depending on the casting it is necessary on some timing covers to shave a bit of material off the inside to make space for the valve heads facing towards the timing cover.
